Windows 7 – Build 7000

This build has me impressed compared to where Vista was at this stage.  However there are a few things I have ran into so far…
  • SCCM Console install – flagged a warnring on the install for a .NET 2.0 update that cannot be applied (the console still installs and works)
  • Symantec Endpoint Protection install needs a workaround – Install LiveUpdate first and then you can install the client
  • Office 2007 package we have has the Outlook client setup on its own.  This works on XP and Vista but in Windows 7 it tried to use a different account (service account) and one of our other domains instead of the local credentials I was logged in with.

I will add more as I find it but I am excited to see the RC!
