Work around for KB974571 USMT issue

For those that are not aware KB974571 will break USMT and needs to be removed in order to use USMT.

However…I had a device today that had the KB974571 security patch removed but USMT still failed.  I found that if you run the work around below it will allow USMT to work.  Copy the code and save it in a .VBS file.  After running that you do not need to reboot (however after the removal of the patch a reboot is required).

Dim WshShell
Set WshShell = WScript.CreateObject("WScript.Shell")
WshShell.RegWrite "HKLMSOFTWAREMicrosoftWindows NTCurrentVersionmsasn1DecodingRules", 2, "REG_DWORD"

thx for the workaround, this works fine on 32bit systems.
unfortunately on 64 bit systems the vbscript is not working, instead when I change the location to hklm\software\wow6432node\microsoft… it does work but gets imported in the virtualstore of my user hive…

what is the correct location for 64 bit systems?
