Disable Windows Server 2008 SP2 IE ESC in a SCCM Task Sequence

To disable IE ESC (Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration) via a SCCM task sequence you can add “Run Command Line” from “General” and add the following commands (in their own task).  I usually put a “Time-out (minutes):” value of “1”.

REG ADD "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Active Setup\Installed Components\{A509B1A7-37EF-4b3f-8CFC-4F3A74704073}" /v IsInstalled /t REG_DWORD /d 00000000 /f
